Mary Jenitta
She is a remarkable example of resilience and perseverance. Despite being diagnosed with polio at just 8 months old, she defied the odds and went on to lead an inspiring life. Born in the village of Enayam in Kanyakumari district, her father, a devoted fisherman, struggled with financial difficulties that made it challenging to support the family. At the age of 7, faced with these hardships, Jenitta’s parents made the difficult decision to place her in St. Charles Home, an orphanage, where she spent her early years and completed her education.
Determined to build a better future, Jenitta earned an MBA from Sathyabama University in Chennai, which set the stage for her professional success. She later joined Union Bank of India, rising to the position of Senior Manager, where she demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill in the banking industry.
Beyond her career, Jenitta has turned her attention to social causes, using her voice and experiences to inspire others. As a motivational speaker, she shares her journey of overcoming adversity, while also exploring scriptwriting and composing impactful lyrics for films. Through these creative outlets, she aims to uplift and empower others.
Driven by a deep desire to make a meaningful difference, Jenitta founded the KerbZera Foundation in February 2024. This foundation reflects her commitment to creating lasting change and improving the lives of those in need. Through this initiative, Jenitta continues to empower communities, championing a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
